You can back up your Identity Safe data for security purposes or if you transfer everything to a new computer. You can also restore the data that you have previously backed up.

You can retrieve Identity Safe data when your product expires.
1. To back up your data, do one of the following:
* In the main window, under Identity Protection, click Manage Identity Safe Profile.
* In the main window, click Settings, and then in the Settings window, click Identity Safe Profile.
* On the Norton toolbar, click Identity Safe, and then click Settings.
2. In the Identity Safe Settings window, on the left side, click Backup & Restore.
3. On the right side, click Back up.
4. On the Back up Identity Safe Data dialog box, enter, or browse to, the location to which you want your data saved.
5. Type the name you want assigned to the file, with a .NPM suffix.
6. If you want to back up your data with a password for more security, enter and verify the desired password.
7. Click OK.
You can restore your backed up Identity Safe data if you have deleted something in error, or if you are transferring everything to a new computer.
Restoring your data overwrites everything that is currently in your Identity Safe, and replaces it with the contents of the backup file.

4. On the Data Restore Confirmation dialog box, check Yes to replace your existing data, and click OK.
5. On the Restore Identity Safe dialog box, enter, or browse to, the location of the file from which you want to restore the data.
6. If you backed up your data with a password, enter that password.
7. Click OK.
