Norton Ghost 14 Detailed Description

Norton Ghost 14 delivers world-class protection for files, folders and applications creating incremental and differential backups. With Norton Ghost you can recover any file, folder, disk or applications in minutes instead of hours or even days. The application backs your data up automatically reducing administrative overhead.

Norton Ghost 14 can perform full system backups as well. You can mirror your drives with their complete content, adding more files later via the incremental backup.

Data can be stored using local, removable media including those connected via the USB port, as well as off-site via FTP. Using advanced compression with adjustable compression levels can help reduce disk space and backup time.

Norton Ghost 14 integrates with Google Desktop and Symantec ThreatCon that will allow you to run backups as a response to a changing global security alert state.

The LightsOut Restore feature by Symantec, creates an extra bootable system on the PC's drive that will restore your system with an on-disk software recovery environment. In an event of a system failure you can run your system as normal without the need of using a boot CD.

As of Norton Ghost 12 you can use the remote management tool that allows you to control Ghost installations within your local area network from a single console.
